EXPERIENCE
THE DUNHAM GROUP – 2022 TO PRESENT
Ethan founded The Dunham Group, a consulting firm, in 1994. In 1997 the company scaled up, added new shareholders and rebranded and later sold. After selling his latest venture, Upward Technology, Ethan fired back up The Dunham Group and is once again providing senior leaders with strategic IT and operations consulting.

UPWARD TECHNOLOGY – 2007 TO 2022
President and Founder. Upward Technology is the first B-Corp in Information Technology services in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to considerable success in creating jobs and providing services to customers across the Pacific Northwest, Upward is a leader in community development and values based leadership.

BEFORE UPWARD TECHNOLOGY
Ethan began his IT career in 1987 while still in public accounting. He pioneered the use of automated accounting software for small businesses in Portland, Oregon, starting his first company at the technology incubator at Oregon Graduate Institute. For over 30 years, Ethan has built successful consulting and system integration firms who skillfully design and implement large and small business information systems.

EDUCATION
LEWIS AND CLARK COLLEGE, PORTLAND STATE UNIVERSITY
Bachelor of Arts from Lewis and Clark College, and post graduate accounting studies at Portland State University

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP
Currently serve on the boards of PHAME Academy, Butterflies and Feathers, and The Speakers Alliance. Past board chair of PHAME, chair of the City of Portland Small Business Advisory Council. Served on the Portland Farmer Market Finance Committee and Fish Emergency Services food bank.

PERSONAL
Father of three grown children and two wonderful granddaughters.
